This legendary coffee is 100% Ethiopian Yirgacheffe grown at 5000‐6500’ on a high plateau under a forest canopy of shade trees by the farmers of the Oromia Coffee Farmers Cooperative (OCFCU). They are also certified Organic and certified Fair Trade. The cooperative also keep bee hives for pollination and honey production. The farms are also home to a wide variety of bird species. This classic Yirgacheffe is historically the only coffee allowed in the palaces of Ethiopian Kings. It has been said that “if coffee were a religion, Ethiopia would be the Holy Land”. This is the region where Ethiopian goat herder Kaldi first discovered coffee, the birthplace of coffee.
